North Richland Hills is a city in Tarrant County in the U.S. state of Texas in the United States.

Geography

The city lies on the highways 26, 83 and 820 in the central northeast Texas, the Dallas -Fort Worth International Airport is 13 km northeast of Fort Worth is about 14 km to the west and has a total area of 47.2 km ², of which 0, 1 sq. km water surface.

Demographic data

According to the census of 2000, there were 55 635 people in 20 793 households, and 15,407 families. The population density was 1,179.6 inhabitants per km ². The racial the population was composed of 88.48 % White, 2.70 % African American, 0.54 % Native American, 2.65 % Asian, 0.17 % Pacific Islander residents from the and 3.39 % from other ethnic groups. Approximately 2.07% were of mixed descent, and 9.48 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

Of the 20 793 households 38.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them. 59.9 % were married couples living together. 10.3% were single mothers and 25.9 % were non-families. 20.4 % of all households were single-person households and 5.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.66 and the average family size was 3.09 persons.
