Northfields is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Ealing. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 3 at the Northfield Avenue. In the year 2011 there were 3.79 million passengers these from the Piccadilly Line station. About 500 meters further to the west is one of the two maintenance workshops of the line.

The Metropolitan District Railway (MDR, the predecessor company of the District Line ) 1883 had taken the distance between Acton Town and Hounslow Town in operation and this electrified in 1905, but the trains ran for 25 years without a stop in Northfields through. Finally, the MDR opened on April 16, 1908 at the track already existing station Northfields Halt, which was renamed Northfields & Little Ealing on 11 December 1911. When it became clear in the early 1930s, the station was the access tracks to the planned maintenance workshop in the way of a laying on the east side of Northfield Avenue proved to be necessary. The new station was opened on 19 May 1932, received its present name. The Piccadilly Line trains stopped here on January 9, 1933 from 13 March of the same year, she drove on towards Hounslow West. Since October 9, 1964 runs only the Piccadilly Line to the west of Acton Town section because the District line was shortened.

The station building was built in 1932 by the architect Charles Holden, with the assistance of Stanley Heaps. It combines functionalism and art deco. The most striking feature is a high square tower of red brick with long narrow clerestory. Since 1994, the building is a listed building (Grade II), together with the walls of the atria and the platforms.
