Norwegian county road

A Fylkesvei, also Fylkesveg (Norwegian: Provincial Road ) is a major road ( the provinces ) in Norway and roughly comparable to the German country road. The Norwegian roads are from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration ( Statens Public Roads Administration ) classified. The classification of roads in Riksveier, Fylkesveier and Bygdeveier was made in 1931.

Since an administrative reform in 2010, over 60 % of the trails are in municipal ownership, ie there are Fylkesveier.

Numbering

Fylkesveier are renumbered within each province, so that there are different Fylkesveier with the same number in Norway. An exception to Oslo and Moskene municipality in which there is no Fylkesveier. Since many Rigsveier have passed the responsibility of Fylker by the administrative reform in 2010 and now are Fylkesveier, they are divided into 2 categories:

Primary fylkesveier

All Riksveier on January 1, 2010, to Fylkesveiern are primary Fylkesveier today. You have to keep the road numbers, which they had previously. They are marked with black numbers on a white background.

Secondary fylkesveier

These were, with some exceptions, not signposted before the reform and Fylkesveier are. Some reclassified Riksveier had the same number as existing in the Fylke Fylkesveier. To avoid a conflict, got the secondary Fylkesveier new numbers. The secondary Fylkesveier in Akershus, which go through several municipalities were given new numbers to the local boundaries.
