Norwegian International Film Festival

The movie norske festivalen ( The Norwegian international Film Festival) is a film festival held annually in Haugesund, Norway. The festival dates back to the year 1973.

1985, Amanda was introduced as a Norwegian film award. The prize is awarded annually during the festival in various film categories. The Amanda is a sculpture of the Norwegian sculptor Kristian Kvakland, she is 30 inches tall and weighs 2.5 kg.

Patron of the festival 's Crown Prince Haakon Magnus of Norway, Honorary President is Liv Ullmann.
