NOSH-Aspirin

NOSH - Aspirin is a group of chemical compounds which are derived structurally from the acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin ), and both nitric oxide ( NO) and hydrogen sulfide ( H2S) release assets. These are prodrugs. NO and H 2 S in the organism to act as Gasotransmitter, H2S is contacted with anti-inflammatory ( anti-inflammatory ) reactions in combination, NO is involved in the maintenance of gastrointestinal mucosa.

Acetylsalicylic acid (ASA ) affects coagulation- inflammatory, analgesic, anti-rheumatic and anti-inflammatory dose-dependent on the inhibition of cyclooxygenases COX -1 and COX -2. A protective effect against certain cancers is controversial. The targeted combination of aspirin with NO and H2S in a hybrid molecular structure, a stronger anti-inflammatory effect and better gastrointestinal tolerability result. The compound NBS -1120 (4 - (3- thioxo -3H -1 ,2 -dithiol -5-yl ) phenyl -2-( (4 - ( nitrooxy ) butanoyl ) oxy ) benzoate ) has an approximately similar with aspirin anti-inflammatory effect and also shows excellent inhibition of cell growth, which makes the substance of developments in cancer therapy interesting.
