Noss

The Scottish Isle of Noss is one of the Shetland Islands until 1939 had around 25 residents and has since been re uninhabited.

It is a maximum of 2 × 2 km across and has an area of approximately 3 km ². The up to 181 -meter-high island is just a few meters east of Bressay and can be reached from here in the context of day trips with boats that reported in cards ferry is the boat of two ornithological station that extends from May until the end of August on the island stop.

The island is designated as a nature reserve since 1955. On Noss are located partly rare plants. On the cliffs of the island breed numerous seabirds.
