Novazzano is a municipality in the district of Stabio, in the district of Mendrisio in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. The village is five kilometers from Chiasso, on the Italian border. The village was already inhabited during the Etruscan and Roman times. The first mention of it was in the year 875 by a noble family called " De Novezano ".
