Noventa Padovana
Noventa Padovana is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 10,961 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the Province of Padua in Veneto. The community is located about 6 kilometers east from the city center of Padua in the metropolitan area. In the eastern municipality of the Brenta flows. The municipality borders here directly to the Province of Venice.
History
A place called Nova (also in similar forms of the name ) is first mentioned in the area of Padua 918. Beginning of the 13th century resides Isabella of England, wife of Frederick II Hohenstaufen here in the fortification of Noventana. The artificial channel Piovego is excavated here in the 13th century.
