Novomoskovsk, Ukraine

Nowomoskowsk (Ukrainian Новомосковськ; Russian Новомосковск / Nowomoskowsk ) is a city in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in central Ukraine. Nowomoskowsk is an important industrial center (steel pipe factory, food industry) and the main town of the same name Rajons with about 75,000 inhabitants ( November 2012 ). The industry is developing since 2000, again very intense.

Geography

The city is located on the right bank of Samara, a tributary of the Dnieper River and has a connection to the highway, a partial section of the template: RSIGN / Maintenance / EU e- inclusion.

History

1688 here a first name Samartschyk settlement was (also Nowoselizy ) founded by the Cossacks and grew to become a great center of Zaporozhye Cossacks. In 1784 it became the city Katerynoslaw and center of gubernia Katerynoslaw and in the 19th century, the city was the administrative center of Ujesd Nowomoskowsk Governorate Jekaterinoslaw.
