Now, Diabolical is the sixth album by the Norwegian metal band Satyricon.

Formation

The album was mixed by Mike Frazier. The band wanted to " really good and strong songs " record.

Style

The album is based on a simple rock music with melodic riffs and hooks many. The drumming is what is typical for the genre, not of blast beats. It is technically very simple designed, yet highly accentuated. The vocals are guttural, but good to hear.

Reception

Now, Diabolical provoked very mixed reactions. For example, while the site chroniclesofchaos.com the first reef with a " third-rate Metallica cover band" compares, is another reviewer thought, the only downside of the album is its brevity.

The album reached # 2 on the Norwegian charts, also in the Finnish and Swedish charts it was represented.

Single release

For an album limited to 1000 copies single was released in Norway. It contained two songs, the video for the title song were shown on Norwegian television and on MTV's Headbangers Ball.
