Nowy Åšwiat Street

Ulica Nowy Swiat (Eng. New World Street ) is one of the historic streets of Warsaw and part of the Warsaw Royal Route from Warsaw Royal Castle after Wilanów. It starts at the Staszic Palace and leads on the Rondo Charles'a de Gaulle'a to Plac Trzech Krzyży. Already in the 16th century was the "New World ", the main street of the same jurisdiction.

In the 17th century stood here mostly wooden seats of nobility. During the Napoleonic period, and then these were replaced by three-story brick houses in the style of neoclassicism. Towards the end of the 19th century Nowy Swiat Street became a main shopping street and also the main traffic artery of Warsaw.
