Nowy Targ County
The powiat Nowotarski is a powiat ( county ) in the northwestern part of the Polish province of Lesser Poland - located in the southern part of Malopolska in the Beskids. It is bordered on the north by the Powiats Sucha, Myślenice, Nowy Sacz and Limanowa and on the south by the powiat Tatrzański. To the west and east of the state line passes to Slovakia.

The district comprises 14 municipalities, including two municipalities ( gmina miejska ), a city - rural commune ( gmina miejsko - wiejska ) and eleven rural communities ( gmina wiejska ). The places Nowy Targ, Szczawnica and Rabka have a city charter.
