Nox Arcana

Nox Arcana is a native of Cleveland, Ohio music group that was founded in 2003 by Joseph Vargo and William Piotrowski.

Style

The nature of their music here leans on classic horror literature by numerous authors such as HP Lovecraft, Brothers Grimm, Ray Bradbury and Edgar Allan Poe to, with some of their albums go towards medieval and ancient mythology.

Further influences were carried out by the genre New Age and by classical, rock and film music. John Carpenter, Danny Elfman, AC / DC, Wojciech Kilar, Enya, Loreena McKennitt, Beethoven, Jerry Goldsmith, and Hans Zimmer are well-known personalities from the various musical styles that are influenced by their works, the style of the band.

History

Before Nox Arcana was founded, Joseph Vargo was a famous gothic / fantasy artist. He produced covers for books and CDs, posters, and other products, which were distributed by his publisher Monolith Graphics. He also presented her two albums with Midnight Syndicate, which he left in 2000 to write books. His first book, Tales of the Dark Tower is about the stories of a vampire at the time of the First Crusade. Later he wrote the Dark Realms Magazine and then published the book The Gothic Tarot, which was a bestseller. William Piotrowski, however, was working on a video documentary entitled Ghosts from Ohio ( Ghosts of Ohio) about Mary Ann Winkowski, which was the inspiration for the series Ghost Whisperer.
