Noxubee County, Mississippi

The Noxubee County is a county located in the U.S. state of Mississippi. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Macon, which was named after the town in Georgia.

History

The Noxubee County was formed on February 25, 1836 from parts of the Choctaw country. It was named after the current flowing in this area Noxubee River.
