Noyen-sur-Seine

Noyen -sur -Seine is a commune of 370 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Seine- et- Marne in the Île- de -France region; it belongs to Arrondissement Provins Canton and Bray- sur -Seine. The inhabitants call themselves Noyennais.

History

Excavations in Noyen -sur -Seine, a canoe was discovered from the Mesolithic period. It is exhibited in the Museum of Nemours.

The place is handed first documented in the 11th century. The basic rule often changed and finally came in the 18th century to the Barentin de Montchal family.
