Nozomi Okuhara

Nozomi Okuhara (Japanese奥 原 希望, Okuhara Nozomi, born March 13, 1995 in Nagano Prefecture ) is a Japanese badminton player.

Career

Okuhara comes from Nagano prefecture and plays since their primary school badminton, then the team Ōmachi kids. Your first success came in 6th grade where she was sent as a representative of Nagano Prefecture for the grade 5/6 to the ABC Elementary Championships and there reached the second place in the individual.

During her time at the Nishinadai Middle School in Ōmachi it was 2008 champion in the junior most properties in the category of new faces and a year later in the regular category Second. After that, she attended high school Ōmiya - Higashi Saitama and reached at the Inter- high- high-school championships (高校 総 体, Koko SOTAI ) 2010 3rd place in the individual and at the Junior Championships as well as again in 2011 to the championship title.

Nozomi Okuhara won in February 2011, not yet 16 years old, with the Austrian International their first major international tournament. Her first Grand Prix semi-finals she reached four months later at the Canada Open. In the Japan Super Series 2011, she was ninth. At the Junior World Championship 2011, she won the bronze medal in women's singles, one year later, she was then Junior World Champion.
