NSS Annapolis

NSS Annapolis was a VLF transmitter at Annapolis in the U.S. state of Maryland. He served the transmission of commands to submarines. NSS Annapolis used as an antenna an umbrella antenna, which was guyed to an insulated against ground guyed 356.76 -meter-high central mast and nine other towers of 243.84 meters. Six of these towers were grounded guyed structures, while three towers were detached steel truss structures such as the transmission towers in Junglinster.
