NTNUI

Norges teknisk - naturvitenskapelige universitets Idrettsforening ( Norwegian Technical and Natural Science University Sports Association ), NTNUI abbreviated, with more than 12,000 members in more than 50 sports represented Norway's largest and most versatile sports club. He is the sports club of the students of Engineering and Natural Sciences University of Norway ( NTNU ) in Trondheim.

NTNUI was created on 21 April 1998 from the merger of the two Trondheim student sports clubs Norges Tekniske Høgskoles Idrettsforening ( NTHI, founded on October 25, 1910) and The Allmennvitenskapelige Høgskoles Idrettslag ( AVHI, founded on December 7, 1962) after their associated universities and NTH AVH had been united to the university NTNU.

The club color of NTNUI was taken over by Vergängerverein NTHI and is green with yellow-black - yellow stripes.

NTNUI operates in conjunction with the Student Union ( SiT ) and the University 's own sports facilities on the campus of Gløshaugen and Dragvoll. In addition NTNUI has a larger cabin ( Studenterhytta ) near the town in the Bymarka below the Grakallen, which was built in 1913 by NTHI and later gradually rebuilt and expanded.
