Nucleoplasm

As nucleoplasm ( from Ancient Greek κάρυον karyon for " core " and πλάσμα plasma " formations "), even core plasma or nucleoplasm or nucleoplasm, the contents of the nucleus is called, which is enclosed by the nuclear envelope. It contains the chromatin, the filamentous form dekondensierter chromosomes and the nucleoli.

The unstructured matrix of the nucleoplasm is called Karyolymphe ( nuclear sap, Interchromatinsubstanz ). This is crossed by a protein scaffold, the nuclear matrix that brings them into shape.
