Nuevo Berlín is a city in western Uruguay.
Geography
It is located in the second sector of the department of Río Negro on the eastern shore of the Uruguay River north of Fray Bentos. To the west are located in the Río Uruguay several river islands, their respective membership Uruguayan or Argentine territory under the Treaty of April 7, 1961 ( Tratado del 7 de Abril de 1961) was controlled. These include the Isla Nuevo Berlín, Isla del Burro, Isla Filomena Grande, Isla Palma Chico, Isla Filomena Chica, Isla Masones and the Isla García.
Population
The population of Nuevo Berlín was 2,438 at the last census (2004 ).
