Nufarm

Nufarm is an agricultural chemical company. Nufarm is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange ASX. The name Nufarm evolved from the English New Farming.

History

Max stranger secured in 1953 the rights to 2,4-D and MCPA for Australia.

In 1982 it was taken over by the international chemical company Fernz Corporation. In 1988, the fertilizer business was sold. With the purchase of the work Belvedere, London in England in 1994 it came to the entrance into the European market. In 1995, the crop protection business Agrolinz melamine was taken ( in Linz, Austria ). A year later the plant protection division of Akzo Nobel. In 1997 or 1998, the French company Compagnie Francaise de Produits Industriels ( CFPI ) has been integrated in Paris. 1999 was followed by the final takeover of the growth- division of Rhône -Poulenc Agro. Along with the relocation of the headquarters to Melbourne in 2000 changed the name of Fernz Corporation Ltd.. to Nufarm Limited. 2001, there was an investment in the Indian Excel Industries. 2002 Agtrol International has been integrated. In the same year Nufarm Germany GmbH was founded in Cologne.

In 2004 it came to the world-wide adoption of growth- business of BASF and the distribution rights for Flamenco FS ( fluquinconazole ) and the Sportak line ( prochloraz ) for Germany and Austria. 2006, a multi-year supply and distribution agreement between Nufarm and Bayer CropScience has been closed to Diflufenican and products on Diflufenican - base in Europe.

2011 Nufarm marketed internationally over 25 active ingredients. The company is the largest producer of Wuchstoffherbiziden and is one of the leading suppliers of herbicide active ingredients such as HBN ( Ioxynil and bromoxynil ) or phenylureas ( chlortoluron and isoproturon ).
