Nufenenpass

The Nufenenpass (Italian Passo della Novena ) is a mountain pass in the Swiss Alps and connects the Canton of Valais, the canton of Ticino.

History

A 1964 built and opened on September 5, 1969 Pass Road leads from Ulrichen on 2,478 meters above sea level. M. Located pass into the Bedrettotal and on to Airolo. The FO ( Furka -Oberalp -Bahn ) Lok HGe 4 / 4108 was christened in honor of Nufenenpass on the name " Novena ". Today, the name with the "Channel Tunnel" name is pasted over. The locomotive is now the result of the merger of the FO and BVZ (Brig -Visp- Zermatt -Bahn ) was in possession of the MGB ( Matterhorn -Gotthard -Bahn ) on 1 January 2003.
