Nuffield Council on Bioethics

The Nuffield Council on Bioethics is a nonprofit organization founded in 1991, British, which deals with bioethical issues.

The Council was established by the Nuffield Foundation in 1991 and is funded by the Nuffield Foundation, the Wellcome Trust and the Medical Research Council since 1994. The Council consists of more than 20 scientists. Its mission includes:

1 the identification and definition of ethical issues that are raised by recent advances in biology and medicine to tackle the public interest

To promote the second investigation and reporting of these issues with the aim of understanding and public debate

3 the publication of reports and recommendations of the Council with regard to these issues.
