Nuga-Nuga-Nationalpark

The Nuga Nuga - National Park (English: Nuga Nuga National Park ) is a national park in the southeast of the Australian state of Queensland. It is located 515 km north-west of Brisbane and 150 kilometers north of Roma.

Provincial nature

The National Park lies on the northern shore of Lake Nuga Nuga at the northern end of the Arcadia Valley and east of Carnarvon Gorge. It is the largest lake in the sandstone belt of the country.

In the neighborhood of the National Park Carnarvon, Albinia, Palm Grove and expedition lie.

Flora and Fauna

On the lake, sometimes blooming water lilies.

The lake is an important habitat for waterfowl in the otherwise dry sandstone country north of the Carnarvon Range.

Facilities and access

On the shores of Lake Nuga Nuga, there is a campground, but which has no specific facilities.

From Rome you can reach via the Carnarvon Developmental Road to the park. The lake is located in the settlement Warmilla, 5 kilometers east of the road. The roads to the park are impassable in wet weather.
