Nuhne

Confluence of Sonneborn and Ahre to Nuhne in Zuschen

The Nuhne is from Nuhneursprung 29.15 km, but together with their source Bach Sonneborn 36.4 km long, orographic left or western tributary of the Eder in North Rhine -Westphalia and Hesse ( Germany ).

Course

The Nuhne arises in Rothaargebirge Zuschen, a southern district of Winterberg. Due to the 463 m above sea NHN located the confluence of its two headwaters - Sonneborn and Ahre. There is a stone marker.

From there, the Nuhne flows along the federal highway 236 in a southeasterly direction through the nature park Rothaargebirge, for example north past the Heidenkopf ( 703.8 m). After leaving the mountain, after which it for a while through the southern part of Medebacher bay flows from Hallenberg, it forms between the Hessian places Somplar (eastern district of Bromskirchen ) and Rengershausen ( north-western district of Frankenberg ) a part of the Westphalian- Hessian border, after which they leaving the park. Then the river runs southeastward through the natural forest as Truth.

A few kilometers south-east of Rengershausen reached the Nuhne the Hessian Schreufa (northern district of Frankenberg ), after which it the Eder river kilometer 86.75 Coming flows after passing under the Lower Eder train from the west to 265 m in the Fulda inflow Eder.

Through the confluence of the streams Sonneborn (7.4 km) and Ahre (5.5 miles), there arises the Nuhne. On its 26.8 km long road leaving in Rengershausen North Rhine- Westphalian region and leads the Hessian Schreufa in the Eder.
