Nullallomorph

A Nullallomorph, also null terminator or allomorph Ø, is a special form of allomorph. It is a " non-character ", which corresponds to a location in a inflectional. By Nullallomorph morphemes ( meanings ) are recognized when they are not realized phonetically. Nullallomorphe will only be accepted if there are the same morpheme from a Nullallomorph different, so actually realized allomorph.

A morpheme whose only allomorph is Ø, ie Nullmorphem. Since a null terminator is the absence of a extension, it can not be written with the letters. Instead, the symbol Ø is used.

Note: Terms with " zero " as a word element are occasionally used in linguistics to, even to detect phenomena of grammar, which are usually expressed by word or words, when they are gone again: zero dissipation, zero article zero element, Nullmorphem, null subject.
