Numedal

Numedal is a valley in Fylke Buskerud in Norway.

Geography

Location and boundaries

Numedal is the southwestern region of the large valleys in eastern Norway and extends along the river Numedalslågen of Dagali in the north- west to Kongsberg in the south. The valley includes the four municipalities Kongsberg, Flesberg, Rollag and Nore og Uvdal, which fylke are all in Buskerud. The largest cities are ( from north to south ) Dagali, Uvdal Rødberg, Nore, Veggli, Rollag, Flesberg, lamp country vein and Kongsberg. The region is bordered on the west by Tessungdalen and goes in the northwest over the Hardangervidda. In the north and north- east, the Hallingdal follows, in the east borders the Eggedal and south of Kongsberg is the Numedal in the Langdal over.

Mountains and waters

Geology

Name history
