Nunney Castle is a castle in Nunney, Somerset, England, from the 14th century.

The castle is of a very compact form, with a rectangular plan and round towers at the four corners. It is thus a special case of the English quadrangular castle, a type of castle fortress. Nunney is probably influenced by French models (see, for example, the Bastille and castle Anjony ). A special feature is that Nunney unlike typical fortified castles has no courtyard, and therefore ( according to Cathcart King) as one on one defensive and residential tower (keep ) reduced castle can be viewed.
The castle is surrounded by a moat; other external works, however, are scarce.
