Nuno Pinto

Nuno Miguel Sousa Pinto ( born August 6, 1986 in Vila Nova de Gaia) is a Portuguese football player. He plays since 2002 Nacional Funchal in the Super League, the Portuguese top.

Career

Pinto began his career in the youth of Boavista, where he was awarded in the 2005/06 season at Vilanovense FC. In 2006 he returned to Porto and was active in Boavista. His debut in the Portuguese top was the left-back on January 28, 2007 against Sporting Lisbon. He was replaced in the 73rd minute against Fary Faye. The game ended 1-1. Boavista was at the end of the season ninth in the league. 2007/ 08 he was again awarded and played one season at CD Trofense. The club managed with Pinto promotion to the top flight. He was then obliged Nacional Funchal.

In his first season he came up with seven inserts. The club finished fourth and could thus qualify for the Europa League. His debut at European club level he was in the 2009/10 Europa League season when he came on in the qualifiers against Zenit St. Petersburg on August 20, 2009 in the 55th minute for the Slovenes Nejc Pečnik. The game was won 4:3. In the group stage Pinto was used in three games, in which he saw the yellow and red card in the second group match against Athletic Bilbao. In the championship Nacional was able to win the seventh place.
