Nurmakhan Tinaliyev

Nurmachan Tinalijew (born 10 January 1988) is a Kazakh wrestler. He won one bronze medal in Greco-Roman wrestling in the heavyweight division at the World Championships in 2010, 2011 and 2013.

Career

Nurmachan Tinalijew began as a teenager in 2000 with the rings. He is a member of the sports club Daulet Almaty and focuses on the Greco- Roman style. He is trained by Marartbek Kasimchanow. At a size of 1.90 meters, he wrestles in the heavyweight division, the weight category up to 120 kg body weight.

He was a junior already very successful and won at the Junior World Championships in 2006 in Guatemala City bzw.in Beijing each a bronze medal in the light heavyweight division. In the senior he took two years until he had reached the international top class. At the 2009 World Championships in Herning / Denmark, launched in the heavyweight division in, he was still not quite there yet, because he lost his first fight there against Nico Schmidt from Germany, thus retired and only came on the 19th Place.

In the 2010 World Cup in Moscow, he then won his first medal at the senior citizens. At the World Championships 2011 in Istanbul Nurmachan Tinalijew repeated his medal win of 2010. He won there with wins over Dremiel Byers, United States, Nico Schmidt and Xenophon Koutsioubas, Greece, a defeat against Riza Kayaalp from Turkey and a win over Mihaly Deak Bardos from Hungary again a World Cup bronze medal.
