Nuța Olaru

Nuta Olaru ( born August 28, 1970 in Orodel, Dolj county ) is a Romanian long-distance runner who specializes in road races.

Career

In 1993 she won the half-marathon competition of the Belgrade Marathon. In 1995 she was national champion in the marathon and half marathon 1996.

In the World Half Marathon Championships in 1996 in Palma, she finished fourth and won the team gold. The following year she finished sixth at the Paris Marathon and came in the marathon the World Athletics Championships in Athens on the 30th place. In the World Half Marathon Championships in Kosice, she was fifth and defended their title with the team. In a marathon of the European Athletics Championships 1998 in Budapest, she took 34th place, and in 1999 she won the half-marathon competition of the Gold Coast Marathon.
