NUTS of Hungary
As NUTS: HU or NUTS regions in Hungary is called the territorial division of Hungary in accordance with the European " Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS)".
Basics
In Hungary, the three NUTS and two LAU levels are assigned as follows:
- NUTS -1: 3 Central Statistical Regions ( Statisztikai nagyrégiók )
- NUTS -2: 7 Planning and Statistics Regions ( Tervezési - statisztikai régiók )
- NUTS -3: 19 counties ( megyek ) Budapest
- LAU -1: 174 Small Statistical Areas ( Statisztikai kistérségek )
- LAU -2: 3154 Places ( Települések )
