NUTS of Sweden
NUTS: SE is the code of the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS ) the official statistics of the European Union for Sweden.
As Riksområde ( the Reich), the statistics of the level NUTS 2 regions are referred to in Sweden.
Basics
In Sweden, the three NUTS and two LAU levels are assigned as follows:
- NUTS -1: 3 Reich groups (Swedish group of people, av riksområden )
- NUTS -2: 8 Empire areas (Swedish riksområden )
- NUTS -3: 21 provinces (Swedish Län )
- LAU 1 - (not used )
- LAU 2: 290 municipalities (Swedish kommuner )
