Nyang’oma Kogelo

Nyang'oma Kogelo is a town with about 3600 inhabitants in the Siaya District of Nyanza Province in Kenya. The city as the birthplace of Barack Obama, Sr., the father of the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama became famous. The city flourished during the presidential nomination and subsequent election of Obama. So the city was connected a few days after Obama's successful candidacy to the power grid.

Infrastructure

Nyang'oma Kogelo has a primary ( Senator Obama Primary School ) and a secondary school ( Senator Obama High School ). There is a health center and a police station since 2008.
