Nynäshamn

Nynäshamn is a town in the Swedish province of Stockholm County and the historic province of Södermanland. It is the capital of the municipality of the same name.

Nynäshamn located about 60 km south of Stockholm, and owes its development mainly to the port located here. The place was built in 1911 minder city ( Linköping ) and received city rights in 1946. From here there is a regular ferry to Visby on Gotland and in the summer for another island Gotska Sandon. International ferries there to Gdansk in Poland and to Ventspils in Latvia. There is also a harbor for small boats, which is quite popular in the summer.

In Nynashamn also ends a line of commuter train from Stockholm.
