Nyon District

The District de Nyon ( Nyon district dt ) is an administrative unit of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. Capital is Nyon. Since 1 January 2008, the Nyon district consists of the following 47 municipalities:

History

The District was divided to 31 December 2007 in the Cercle (German circles) Begnins, Gingins, Coppet and Nyon.

The District existed until the end of 2007 from 32 communities, was 232.02 km ² and counted 65'832 inhabitants ( end of 2006).
