O. E. Hailey

Oscar E. " O. E. " Hailey ( born December 10, 1870 in Illinois; † July 5, 1958 in Weiser, Idaho ) was an American politician. Between 1927 and 1931 he was twice Vice- Governor of the State of Idaho.

Career

About the youth and education of O. E. Hailey nothing is handed down. In 1889 he came to Oaksdale in Washington State, where he managed a farm and a machine operation initiated. Since 1905 he was co-owner of a hardware company. Politically, he joined the Republican Party. Between 1901 and 1903 he was a member of the Senate of Washington. He later moved to Idaho, where he continued his political career forestry. Between 1919 and 1926 he was also in the local state Senate.

1926 Hailey was elected to the side of HC Baldridge for Lieutenant Governor of Idaho. This post he held between January 1927 and January 7, 1929 3. In 1928, he was replaced by his party by WB Kinne, who held the post of lieutenant governor until his death after his election on January 7, 1929. Subsequently, in a special election Hailey again elected to this office, which he took over again on 25 October 1929 and held until 5 January 1931. As Vizegoueverneur he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. After the end of his time as Lieutenant Governor, he is no longer politically have appeared. O. E. Hailey died on 5 July 1958 in Weiser.
