Open 3D, short o3d (formerly O3D ) is a service offered by Google Inc. JavaScript programming interface (API ) to represent sophisticated, interactive 3D applications in the web browser. The software is available as free software under the BSD license.

The API, which wants to establish Google as an open web standard, is currently at an early stage of development.

The O3D -called interface was designed as a browser plug-in, meanwhile the development of the plugin was set. The interface is now being developed as a pure JavaScript library that implements the 3D display WebGL. This has the advantage that in WebGL -enabled browsers no plugin must be installed for the presentation of the content. In this context, the interface has been renamed O3D.
