Oakleigh Garden Historic District

The Oakleigh Garden Historic District is a historic district in Mobile in the U.S. state of Alabama. He was inducted into the National Register of Historic Places on April 13, 1972. Originally he covered the area around Washington Square and was bounded by the streets Government, Navy, Texas, and Ann Street. On 30 January 1991, the borders were expanded so that today form the Rapier Avenue, Selma, Broad Street and Texas borders. The total area of the district is 5.88 km ² ( 1,453 acres) and contains 288 buildings. The construction data of buildings ranging from the 20s of the 19th century to the 1940s, where the architecture is mainly 19th century.
