Oakville (Ontario)

Oakville [ ˌ oʊ̯k vɪl ] is a Canadian city west of Toronto and Mississauga, Ontario with 182 520 inhabitants in an area of 138.88 km ².

The colonization by British immigrants began in 1807 at the original military route Dundas Street and the shore of Lake Ontario.

Economy

Oakville 's Canadian headquarters of fast food chains, Tim Hortons, Teriyaki Experience, and Wendy's. One of the main employer is the Ford Motor Company of Canada. In Oakville, the models Flex, Edge and Lincoln MKX will be built.
