OB I bajnokság

The OB I. National Championship, formerly Jégkorong Borsodi Liga, the highest purely Hungarian Hockey League, is in the played out since 1936 the Hungarian national champion.

History

In the 2007 /08 season was attended by seven clubs in the game mode, where five of the teams came from Hungary and two in Transylvania, Romania, were located. Record champion of the League is the hockey department of the Ferencvárosi TC with 25 tracks (including 3 as Kinizsi SE Budapest), followed Újpesti Dózsa with 13 championship wins. Reigning champion ( 2010/ 11) Alba Volán Székesfehérvár.

Before the season 2008/ 09 three new teams should be included in the league, including two other teams from Romania. Therefore, the division of the Hungarian championship was divided. This new league is named after its main sponsor MOL League. The purely Hungarian matches in the league will be considered as a game of the Hungarian championship, the playoffs are played separately.
