Oberalben

Oberalben is a municipality in the district of Kusel, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Kusel.

Oberalben located in the Saar -Nahe - Bergland. The municipality also includes the living space Mayweilerhof.

History

The word " Alps " is probably of Celtic origin, meaning and points to the creek, the place toward which flows through Kuralb. " Alb " also means bright, shiny, and is also the Latin word " albus " related that "white" is translated. The ancestors took over the well used by the Celts name.
