Oberbergische Postkutsche

The Oberbergische stagecoach is a replica of a stagecoach of the imperial postal order in 1871. Between May and the end of October ( Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays ) it operates as a tourist attraction between Nümbrecht and Wiehl. On the scenic route there are a number of breakpoints. The idea was brought in the early 1970s to the Oberbergische and implemented here. Passengers can experience how formerly the Post Office was transported and travelers could bring to their destination so.

Your maiden voyage made the Oberbergische stagecoach on 30 April 1973. Since then she drove two horses over the hilly route, and the yellow vehicle caught again a stir with visitors to the region. Friedhelm mackerel drove since the first ride and was supported from 1991 by Walter Gran. On 31 October 2004, both went into retirement and vacated the coach-box for their successors.

As the carriage came to the years ( the braking system has been criticized by TÜV), had to be thought of an overhaul. Since the municipalities Wiehl and Nümbrecht had no money for repair, Wiehl BPW Bergische jumped axes and overtook the carriage on the house. In addition to hydraulic dual-circuit brake system, two new roller bearing axles were provided.

Since 1 May 2005, she commutes back to the old Postillonbesatzung between Nümbrecht and Wiehl back and forth.
