Oberbodnitz

Oberbodnitz is a municipality in the southern part of the Thuringian Saale- wood - country circuit and part of the joint management hills / valleys.

Geography

Oberbodnitz located 5 km east of Kahla, nestled in a valley that is crossed by the road to Leuchtenburg. The part belonging to the district Oberbodnitz side bridge is located southwest of the capital in a shallow source well of the Riet 's creek.

History

The name can be traced back to the year 873, when he first appeared in the role of "guardian of the village " as " Butenicz ". There used to be a chapel in Oberbodnitz that must have originated in the period before the Reformation.
