Oberes Geiseltal

In the management of the Community Upper Geiseltal Saalekreis two municipalities were merged to form the settlement of administrative transactions. The management community was founded in 1992.

Originally belonging to the administrative community communities Branderoda, Gröst, Langeneichstädt and custom were incorporated on 1 January 2006 in the city Mücheln. The community Krumpa was incorporated with effect from 1 January 2007, the city Braunsbedra.

With the incorporation of the municipality Oechlitz in the city Mücheln ( Geisel ) on 1 January 2010, the administrative community was dissolved.

The management community had an area of ​​98.59 km ² and 9781 inhabitants ( 31 December 2008).
