Oberlerchner JOB 15
The Oberlerchner JOB 15 is a three-seater, single-engine light aircraft that was built by Josef Oberlerchner timber industry. It is used as a passenger aircraft and towed gliders.
History
The company Josef Oberlerchner timber industry had acquired some experience with the construction of gliders before 1958, the two-seater JOB 5 as the first powered aircraft the company had its maiden flight. As a further development then the three-seat JOB followed 15
Construction
Just as the JOB 5, it is designed as a low-wing aircraft and manufactured in composite construction, the hull of a steel tube construction with fiberglass cowl and the wings are made of wood. The JOB 15 is designed as a taildragger, the main landing gear has aerodynamically -clad wheels, the tail wheel is undisguised.
Versions
Three different versions were produced, which differ in their engine. The number after the type designation is generally for the performance of the aircraft engine in PS:
- JOB 15-135, 3 copies, motorized with the 135 hp (101 kW) Avco Lycoming O- 290- D2B
- JOB 15-150, 10 copies, motorized with the 150 hp (112 kW) Avco Lycoming O -320- A2B
- JOB JOB 15-150/2 improved version of the 15-150, 11 copies, motorized with the 150 hp (112 kW) Avco Lycoming O -320- A2B
Some JOB 15-150/2 were at 180 hp ( 135 kW) Lycoming upgraded engines and are then called JOB 15-180/2.
