Oberliezheim

Oberliezheim is a part of the market Bissingen in the Swabian district of Dillingen on the Danube. The town was incorporated on May 1, 1978 in the market Bissingen. It is located four kilometers southwest of Bissingen on the Jura plateau between the boiler and the Danube valley. The highest altitude is 530 m.

Name

Oberliezheim is surrounded by four forests and is a clearing settlement recently. 1269 Oberliezheim is called " Ödenliedeshain " handed down the first time. Ödenliezheim is the name of the settlement until the mid-15th century, after the place and also rarer Oberliezheim Hinterliezheim was to distinguish Unterliezheim called.

History

Around the middle of the 13th century Oberliezheim included in the County of Oettingen, and came in 1268 by the Conradine African heritage to the Duchy of Bavaria. It was administered by the Bailiwick of Blenheim and later Blenheim District Court.
