Oberliga Nordrhein

The Oberliga Nordrhein was an existing 1978-2008 season of football top leagues since 1994 as the fourth- highest division in German football. It was fused to the end of the 2007/08 season with the football to the Oberliga Westfalen NRW-Liga.

It was organized by the Football Association Middle Rhine together with the Football Association of the Lower Rhine. The two organizations shared alternately the squadron line. In the season 2006/ 07, this was the last time the Football Association Middle Rhine; in the 2007/ 08 season the last time the football association Lower Rhine. The next highest league was the Regionalliga.

From the 2012/13 season, a league existed on the territory of the former Oberliga Nordrhein again in two separate scales, as Oberliga Niederrhein ( Fußball-Verband Niederrhein) and Middle Rhine League ( Football Association Middle Rhine ). The season winner will advance to the Regional League West.
