Oberreintalschrofen from south

The Oberreintalschrofen is a 2523 m high mountain in Wettersteingebirge, Eastern Alps. It is located south above Garmisch -Partenkirchen exactly on the border between Germany and Austria and is a top of the east-west running Teufelsgrats.

The first ascent was held by Baron Hermann von Barth on August 26, 1871.

Bases

  • South: From the Wangalm (1751 m) in the Scharnitztal
  • North: From the Oberreintalhütte ( 1532 m) in the Oberreintalkar

Easiest route

From the Wangalm the south by Scharnitztal, on the Upper Reintalscharte in two and a half hours, according to the literature with easy climbing in difficulty UIAA II to the summit. In addition, the Oberreintalschrofen offers many climbing routes in the degrees of difficulty UIAA III to VIII
