Oberwil
Oberwil is a municipality in the administrative district of Frutigen- Niedersimmental of the canton of Bern in Switzerland.
In addition to the community of a Reformed congregation exists.
Geography
Oberwil located in the Bernese Oberland in the Alps on the Simme. The municipality comprises the Bäuerten Oberwil, rear harrow, Pfaffenried, Bunschen and Waldried.
The neighboring communities of north clockwise are starting Rüschegg, Därstetten, Diemtigen, Gstaad, Plaffeien and Guggisberg.
Policy
Mayor of the municipality is Gafner Andreas (2009).
The voting shares of the parties at the national elections of 2011 were: SVP 61.9 %, 13.8 % EDU, BDP 11.3 %, SP 5.4 %, 2.6 % GPS, FDP 1.6 %, 1.1 % EPP, glp 0.9 %, CVP 0.0%.
Traffic
The municipality is situated on the Simmentalstrasse and with the two on the railway line from Spiez to Zweisimmen lying BLS stops Oberwil and tightness in the Simmental connected to public transport.
